The Vishrambaug police traced the five suspects ufffd Sikandar Nazir Shaikh (28), Aayaz Usman Shaikh (32), Abbas Khaijar Nagarwalal (21), Javed Rashid Sheikh (22)u00a0 and Ganesh Dattatrya Mane (28 ufffd to Ahmadnagar while one suspect, Majhir Aziz Khan, is still at large.
Sunday robbery
Rahul Dattatraya Mane (32), who owns a shop at Sandipani Apartment in Narayan peth, was attacked by six weapon-bearing youth on the evening of October 24. His car, laptop, mobile phone, gold chain and ring were robbed. The total worth of the booty was pegged at Rs 4.24 lakh.
Investigating officer PSI S R Jagtap said that they recovered a gold chain worth Rs 16,000 from the suspects at 10.15 pm yesterday. "The attack may have been the result of a domestic dispute. The probe is on," said Jagtap.
The suspects have been booked on charges of criminal conspiracy and dacoity. Sections 34, 342, 394 and 396 of the Indian Penal Code have been slapped on them.u00a0
