Hoobastank, the American Rock sensation who shot to fame with their hit single, The Reason, is all set to rock the city tonight. The band comprises Doug Robb (lead vocals, rhythm guitar), Dan Estrin (lead guitar), Chris Hesse (drums, backing vocals ) and Jesse Charland (bass, backing vocals).
After an electrifying performance in Shillong in June this year, the band is excited to meet their fans in the city. From their old Punk Rock sound to their newfound Grunge sound, fans can expect all the chart-toppers as well as tracks from the latest album, Fight or Flight.
Recounting their gig in Shillong, Robb says, “Our experience was amazing. The whole trip and show was quite an adventure. We are extremely excited to visit other parts of India and perform. The crowd in Shillong was huge and rowdy with lots of energy. I am hoping that Pune will be even better.”
The band will be presenting some of their original compositions for the city audience. “The show will be a good mix of singles off of all of our albums as well as a bunch of songs that we as a band just really enjoy playing live. I don’t think we will be playing anything that’s unreleased but who knows?” says Robb.
Having sold 10 milliion album copies worldwide, Robb thinks the band has evolved throughout their journey, “We have learned to appreciate how lucky we are to be doing what we love to do and earn a living. Travelling the world many times over has helped put life in perspective for me. The journey has been tough at times but what journeys aren’t? It has been more fascinating than anything else.”
