The Indian Association of Gynaecological Endoscopists (IAGE) and International Society of Gynaecological Endoscopy (ISGE) had a four day event in Mumbai from October 3-6, 2013
Dr. Prakash Trivedi, President, IAGE and his team along with Dr. Prashant Mangeshikar scripted the entire show. The latter is set to be the first Indian to hold the President’s post at ISGE.

This event had a unique live relay of surgeries from seven operation theatres, three from Dr. Trivedis Total Woman’s Health Care Hospital, Ghatkopar (East) and four from Dr. LH Hiranandani Hospital, Powai. On October 4, 31 advanced 3D, HD, Urogyn and vaginal surgery were demonstrated to 700 participating consultant gynaecologists, urologists and surgeons from 30 countries present at Hotel Renaissance, Powai who observed them closely.

Expert Indian surgeons like Prakash Trivedi, Prashant Mangeshikar, Shailesh Puntambekar, Rajendra Sankpal and others gave live demonstration of endoscopic surgery. Even a bariatric surgery for obese, infertile and polycystic ovaries was shown live. Nearly 30 patients were benefitted and safely discharged within one-two days.

This international event hosted by the IAGE was quite striking as people could relay live 3D surgeries 15 kms away and also HD surgery never seen before in India or abroad. The foreign audience too appreciated the show. Dr. Prakash Trivedi was declared as the President of FOGSI for 2015. It is the largest body of gynaecologists and obstetricians.u00a0
