In accordance with Amitabh Bachchan and daughter-in-law Aishwarya Rai's muted birthday celebrations this year, owing to the death of the latter's father Krishnaraj Rai, daughter Aaradhya too will mark her special day with a low-key celebration. While the little girl, who turns six today, usually enjoys elaborate themed parties, a small get-together is in store this year. The celebrations will be held on Saturday to suit the calendars of the guests.

A source says, "It will not be a grand bash this time. An intimate party at [Bachchan's Juhu bungalow] Prateeksha is being held on Saturday. Invites were sent out last week. Given that the bash will take place in the garden, parents Abhishek and Aishwarya have added floral motifs to the cards."
On the guest list, the source says, are star kids, including Aamir Khan and Kiran Rao's son Azad, Riteish and Genelia Deshmukh's son Riaan, Akshay Kumar and Twinkle Khanna's daughter Nitara, Sanjay Dutt's twins Shahraan and Iqra and Raj Kundra and Shilpa Shetty's son Viaan Raj.
