An Air India plane with 161 fliers arriving from Nagpur on Tuesday suffered a tyre burst while landing at Mumbai airport taxiway.

All the 161 passengers on board are safe, though some received minor injures. The fliers had to take the emergency exit to deboard.
Speaking to mid-day, one of the passengers said, "Initially we all panicked but the effect was a minor one. However, some of us were hurt while trying to slide down the aircraft."
It should be noted that recently a Jet Airways flight had landing gear failure leading to a tyre burst and fuel leakage due to which the aircraft could be towed only 12 hours after the incident. The incident caused a delay of almost 30 minutes to each flight operation.
