Aiyaz Khan's unbeaten century (120) propelled Sachin Tendulkar XI to a first innings total of 196 in 44.5 overs against Ravi Shastri XI on Day One of the U-14 IDBI Federal Insurance Cup at Dilip Vengsarkar Academy, Mahul yesterday.
Electing to bat, the Tendulkar XI batsmen struggled against the bowling of Shastri XI as they were bowled out for 196.

In reply, Shastri XI were 113-4 in 40 overs at the end of the day's play. Mayank Tiotia top scored with 53, while Aditya Pal chipped in with 37 as their team trailed the opponents by 83 runs.
In another match, Dilip Vengsarkar XI, riding on Aadarsh Singh's unbeaten half-century (66), managed 193 in 57.3 overs in their first innings after electing to bat against Sunil Gavaskar XI.
Bhargav Patil ably supported Aadarsh with a vital 35.
For Gavaskar XI, Aayush Zimare (3-33) and Khush Jain (3-12) were the pick of the bowlers.
In reply, Gavaskar XI managed to reach 84-4 in their first innings when play ended. The tournament is played on a league basis.
