Akshay Kumar asks Dimple to help compile songs from the '70s for his setlist as a DJ

Akshay Kumar will turn into a disc jockey (DJ) for an event where he will mix popular tunes from the '70s to promote Action Replayy.
Since Action Replayy is set in the '70s, his aim to put together a comprehensive setlist of songs from that era.

However, the actor isn't too well versed with songs of that era and has asked his mother- in-law Dimple Kapadia to help him choose the right songs. Akki wants to make sure he has a rocking set list that will get everyone on the dance floor. Meanwhile, he's prepping up for the act by learning to spin tracks.

Talking about Dimple's involvement in the project, the source adds, "She loves songs from the '70s and is enjoying every bit of selecting the right tracks for the list. Twinkle too has been helping and suggesting what he can play."u00a0

Usually, the actor follows a tight schedule where he goes to bed (at 9 pm) and wakes up (at 4 am) early. His new 'job' however has him spending time late nights trying to spin out different tunes.

A source close to him says, "He's actually burning the midnight lamp. A fitness freak like him would only compromise his daily fitness schedule for something that is extremely important."

"Akshay is very keen to completely entertain the crowds for the event," notes Action Replayy director Vipul Shah.

Akshay will be playing the music on September 25 at a suburban club.
