Incidentally, both Aman and Noel notched up identical 4-1 wins over their respective rivals.
Aman triumphed over Nishaad 7-11, 11-9, 11-7, 11-5, 11-5, while Pinto beat Fernandes 14-16, 11-7, 11-6, 11-9, 14-12.
