Amethi: The Basic Shikhsha Adhikari (BSA) has terminated the services of 5 teachers and 18 'shikhshamitra' (para-teachers) of primary and junior high schools in this district due to their fake mark-sheets and certificates.
BSA of Amethi, Anand Kumar Pandey told PTI that some mark sheets and certificates of the concerned (dismissed teachers) teachers were found fake and followed by proper procedures, their services have been terminated.

This has also been approved by district magistrate, he said. The action comes after the BSA received numerous complaints regarding the teachers' fraudulent qualification. Pandey said that an order has also been passed for recovery of salaries drawn from the exchequer by these teachers.
