An attorney in the US has sued a popular fried chicken fast food chain after choking on a piece of chicken breast because he had to eat it with his hands

An attorney in the US has sued a popular fried chicken fast food chain at Gulfport after choking on a piece of chicken.


According to a report in nbc4i.com, Attorney Paul Newton, Jr told CNN affiliate WLOX-TV that he had ordered a combo, which included two chicken breasts, a side, a biscuit as well as a soft drink at Popeye’s restaurant in Gulfport. The report added that the order also included napkins, salt and pepper and a spork.


The lawsuit filed by the attorney stated that because the order did not come with a plastic knife, Newton was forced to consume the chicken breasts by holding them in his hands, and tearing off the pieces with his teeth.

As per the news report, Newton claimed that he actually began choking on the chicken breasts, and thus he had to undergo emergency surgery at a local hospital. Through the lawsuit, Newton wants Popeyes to pay for all medical bills, and his compensate him for his mental agony as well. Newton further wants the fast food chain to include plastic knives in future orders so customers that can cut their purchased food properly.

Newton later said that he is dropping his suit against the popular fast-food chain after receiving "extreme comments directed to me and my family."
