He said Director General of Police Bhupinder Singh has gone to West Midnapore district where Lalgarh is situated and joint forces have been conducting anti-Maoist operations.

Meanwhile, joint forces today picked up five persons including one quack Jagabandhu Mondal from Talpukuria village in Belpahari police station of West Midnapore district. Mondal allegedly treated an injured Maoist leader on Saturday night.
