According to sources, on Thursday, all important stations on the WR were put on high alert, including Andheri, after a threat call received on Thursday evening. Even the Intelligence agency had earlier issued an alert regarding this.

The GRP have deputed heavy bandobast near Andheri station and to avoid any untowardly incident, the traffic police on Friday morning diverted movement of the vehicles coming near to the station, resulting in huge traffic jam and causing difficulties for the commuters.
"Because of the threat, we had to be on alert," said a traffic police official.
