Tonight, as DJ Ishani spins some mean Hip-Hop on the upper level, two break dancers will set the floor on fire with their nifty moves. Andrew Jarecki's Capturing the Friedmans, which was nominated for the Academy Award for Documentary Feature in 2003, focuses on the 1980's investigation of Arnold and Jesse Friedman for child molestation. Jarecki was researching a film about children's birthday party entertainers in New York, including clown David Friedman. He learned that Friedman's brother, Jesse, and his father, Arnold, had been convicted of child sexual abuse and interviewed many of the children involved, ending up making a film about the Friedmans themselves.
