With the heat taking its toll, we tell you what to pick when it comes to designing the ‘breezy’ look with the right kind of bags, shoes and caps that are trending this summer. One of the best times to update your wardrobe, to add that extra zing to your look, accessories are an absolute must on our list making it a casual yet chic look.
After scouting all over the city, we bring you the best places in town that will ensure that you are a showstopper. Priyanka Rajiv, a Pune-based designer doles out advice on how to team up your regular outfits with beautiful accessories.
She shares, “one must choose light colours and prefer cottons in this season whether it is bags, shoes or anything else. The combination of colours is very important as it should look light and refreshing.”
Whether you are spending a weekend at your friend's place or basking in the sun on the beach, a good bag is an essential companion. A quality-constructed bag will last you a lifetime and will never let you down. “For summer one must not have a bag that is over-sized or has a heavy hard structure. The best bags are multi-functional with handles and a shopper strap that crosses your body,” says Rajiv.
Yellow is the colour of the season and metallic tones are still going strong. Lots of pockets are an added bonus so that you don’t waste time hunting important things like keys, cell phone or a lipstick. Cotton bags are most preferred during summer months as they are light as well.
A hat works both ways by shielding your face and head from harmful sunlight and becoming a fashion statement in itself. Before picking any hat randomly, one needs to note that the shape needs to be carefully chosen.
Headgear is a must recommend for those with sensitive skin. Cotton being the best bet for the season can be bought. For the fashionable, straw hats also flatter and due to their lightness are quite a favourite.
It is said that shoes you wear are not only the ultimate accessory but a reflection of your individuality. Make sure that you pick peep toes or slippers that air your feet well in order to avoid foot odour. Comfortable and strappy will definitely do the trick.
