Browser: Somdev in quarters at Kolkata; Yuki out

Kolkata: Somdev Devvarman romped into the quarter-finals even as Yuki Bhambri’s campaign came to an end on a mixed day for Indian players at the $50,000 State Bank of India ATP Challenger Tour tournament yesterday.
Devvarman carved out a straight set 6-3, 6-3 victory over Russia’s A Kudryavtsev, while Bhambri lost to third seeded Russian Evgeny Donskoy 3-6, 4-6 in their respective pre-quarter matches. 

HIL: Waveriders beat Rhinos 1-0
New Delhi: Akashdeep Singh’s 65th minute goal helped table-toppers Delhi Waveriders bag five points against Ranchi Rhinos at the Major Dhyan Chand National Stadium yesterday. 

Mumbai hockey trials to begin today
The Mumbai Hockey Association Ltd will be holding selection trials for the Mumbai team that will participate in the Senior National Hockey Championship to be held at Lucknow from February 27th to March 13th. Interested players must report to the MHA-Mahindra Stadium daily at 3 pm from today.

Indian Oil make it four titles in a row
Reigning champions and hosts Indian Oil (IOCL) won their fourth consecutive PSPB T20 cricket title after defeating Bharat Petroleum (BPCL) in a thrilling final by 10 runs at the MIG CC Ground in Bandra. Batting first, IOCL posted 188 for 6, thanks to captain Aditya Tare’s quickfire century off just 55 balls, which was studded with 11 fours and four sixes.
