Underworld don Surya Pujari demands a ransom of Rs 50 lakh from a city bulider, threatens to kill him if he fails to oblige within a month

A leading real estate company has received a letter from underworld don Ravi Prakash Surya Pujari, threatening to kill the builder, if the company does not pay him a ransom of Rs 50 lakh within a month.

Sanjay Mukharjee, vice- president of Vakil Housing Development Corporation, has filed a complaint with the Koramangala police station.

The letter, signed by one Suraj Pujari came through the post from the Mumbai general post office.

In intimidating words, the letter mentions that 'Bhai' would ask only once and if the person does not pay up, he would not be 'seen' again.

The letter goes on to say that the receiver should not inform the police nor act smart, otherwise, the incident that happened in Mangaloreu00a0 earlier would be repeated again.

It may be noted the gang was named in the murder of an advocate, and the kidnapping of a businessman in July.

The letter has given an ultimatum of one month to Mukharjee to arrange the money. The letter also mentions an email id to maintain further communication.

The Koramangala police, who have taken up the complaint, said that they couldn't rule out Ravi Pujari's involvement, as the Modus Operandi looks very similar.
