Sitting in kitchen with Maharaju00a0tasting the sweets being made. Mom walks in on me! Oops! Wasn't supposed to eat the sweets before bhog is offered to Ganpati Bappa!
10.45 am: The first stream of visitors have begun to arrive! Reunions! I love festivals just for this reason! And the mithai!

12.10 pm: Everyone is all praise about the food our Maharaj cooked up.
1.30 pm: Running late... got to rush to the airport to receive my sister Neha's family. They visit us every year this time of the year.
4.15 pm: Going home with three beautiful ladies -- Mini, Aunty and Tina.u00a0
5.40 pm: Back home to a packed house with more visitors. Our Ganpati Bappa has received a lot of gifts. 17 years later people now know that he loves attar.
7 pm: Time for evening aarti. My favourite part. Little kids from neighbouring wadi come every year in large numbers to our home to sing along.
8.30 pm: Finished distributing "prasad' to the kids.u00a0
10 pm: Naani, Maasi and Mum still on their toes making sure everything's alright while the men help with dinner arrangements. Meal times are big events in my family. Everybody eats together and chats up a storm!
11 pm: Fabulous dinner! Now I'm heading out to check out other pandals in the area.
12.20 am: It's been a fun, exciting day. Need to rest. Gonna be a busy day tomorrow.
