The Guide dropped in at the recently held Mr and Miss Pune 2012 competition
The ballroom at Corinthians hosted the Mr and Miss Pune 2012 event for the 16th consecutive year. This year was also significant as there were live performers at the event. MiD DAY was the media partner.

There were 10 male and 7 female participants in the show and they boasted of a combination of beauty and brains. They proved that a fashion show need not only be about clothes but also about the hair, make-up trends, jewellery, etiquette and intelligence.

The event was judged by a panel of judges which included socialite Karl Mascarenus, Femina Miss India sub-title holder and last year’s Miss Pune winner Khushboo, last year’s Mr Pune winner Nagraj Chavan, Golds Gym Senior General Manager Keshav Pawar and actress and model Mohini Neekanth.

The event saw the presence of Pune’s elite crowd. It started off with the gym body builders putting up a body show. The participants of Mr and Miss Pune had to go through the introduction round, a common question round and a judges’ question round.

The judges had a tough time in choosing the winner, but finally the prestigious crown of Miss Pune was awarded to Twisha Sharma while Kunal Singh was declared Mr Pune.

The show was choreographed by Pooja Singh and was supported by designer Priyanka, Aniket and Jaffar while the hair and make-up was done by Shwetambari Pol. The show was hosted by Neeko Francis. u00a0
