I am

A hardcore non- vegetarian. I can eat chicken countless times in a day. I can't resist chicken, bread and mutton even when I am full.

I begin my day with

Exercise but I am not very particular. I try to feel fit before going to work so that I don't feel lazy while working. A small prayer is always included in my daily routine.u00a0

MY breakfast IS

Two eggs, two slices of bread and Diet Coke.u00a0

MY Lunch IS

Chicken is a must. These days I am very fond of chicken tikka, broccoli and salads. Salads are very important. They make me feel energised and at the same time they are very light too. Yoghurt is also a vital part of my lunch.

My evening snack is

Something I avoid since I have a late lunch. If do snack, I have a chicken sandwich, a Diet Coke and some fruits. I usually love to keep my snacks a bit light so that I can have a complete dinner and sleep well.

My dinner is

Dal, rice, and green vegetables, that is, if I have had enough chicken for that day. Yoghurt is compulsory with every meal. I also love to have couple of chocolates after my dinneru00a0it's a childhood habit.

In sweetsu00a0I like

Chocolates. I eat chocolates like crazy, without counting them, I can devour a complete slab at a time and still crave for more. I know eating too many chocolates is dangerous for the health but I am like a five-year-old where chocolates are concerned. I love Gelato ice cream and brownies too.

My fitness regimen is

My profession demands that I stay in shape, but I must confess I am very lazy. I get bored with exercise all too soon. When I am regular I may go three weeks in a row and then stop altogether.

My favourite cook

My mother. She knows all our tastes and we don't have to instruct her or tell her about our likes and dislikes. Whenever my mom visits Bhai (Saif) or me or vice versa, our table is full of our favourite dishes. It makes us feel as if we are back in our home during our years of growing up.u00a0

I can cook

Only if am starving. I am too lazy to go to the kitchen and cook though I know how to cook.

My childhoodu00a0u00a0memory of food

My palate has changed drastically since childhood, I really don't like the food what I used to eat earlier. I would relish red meat and bread when I was younger but now I love to eat broccoli, salads and chicken.u00a0

My Sunday lunch is

The same as every other day. I don't like changes. I love to keep my food simple and healthy.u00a0

My idea of a romanticu00a0u00a0meal

A quiet place where my partner and I can hear each other. No loud music and 100 people moving around. Food should be light so that we don't fall asleep and garlic in the food is a definite no-no.

My fridge always has

Chocolates, chicken, salads, fruits, yoghurt and oats.u00a0u00a0

On the sets of tumu00a0u00a0mile

Food? Tum Mile was a set where I could see only water. The only solid substance on the sets were the people, the cars and the buses. We drank a lot of tea because the water would drain all our energy and tea kept us warm.u00a0

My favourite...

Comfort food: Tandoori chicken

Spice: I don't like spicy food but I would make an exception for pepper.u00a0u00a0

Cooking appliance: Microwave.u00a0

Beverage: Diet Coke.

Favourite Restaurant

China House
Grand Hyatt, Santacruz (E)
Tel: 66761086

Soha says, "Since I am from Delhi I love to eat at Bukhara which serves North Indian and Mughlai food. In Mumbai, I usually don't go to restaurants to have food but I do order from Khane-e-Khaz , China House and Wasabi."

China House at the Grand Hyatt serves authentic Schezwan Chinese cuisine. Try their famous Peking Duck, made in an oven specially imported from China keeping in mind the height of the chef! You might also want to sample their Dan-Dan noodles that are made right there on your table.

The interiors of are also done to mimic a Chinese home with a water body outside the doors. Yet the place has a contemporary feel with separate live kitchens for salad, dim sum and desserts.

The restaurant is a hot favourite with Amitabh Bachchan, Aamir Khan and Shilpa Shetty.

Favourite Recipe: Tandoori Chicken Tikka

Ingredients

750 gm boneless chicken (cut into tikka pieces)
250 gm thick curds
1 tbsp ginger-garlic paste
2 tsp red chilli powder (or as per taste)
Salt to taste
2-3 tbsp oil

Method

Clean and wash the chicken pieces. Hang the curd in fine muslin cloth to drain out the excess water. In a bowl, mix curd, ginger-garlic paste, red chilli powder and salt.

Add a little oil to the pieces and rub well, so that the marinate can seep inside. Marinade the chicken pieces in the curd mixture for an hour.

Meanwhile, line the skewers and apply a dash of oil so that the tikkas do not get stuck to them while being roasted. Pre-heat the oven and place the skewers with the tikkas in the oven and grill for 30-40 minutes or till done.u00a0u00a0

Serve hot with green coriander and mint chutney and freshly cut onions.
