The victims have alleged that the officer, who was the CIA station chief in the African country, had laced their drinks with a knock-out drug before raping, ABC News reported.

The authorities are also investigating whether similar incidents occurred on his earlier posting in Egypt following recovery of tapes of his engaging in sex with women.
The suspect in the case, the report says, was identified as Andrew Warren in an affidavit for a search warrant filed in the federal court in Washington DC by an investigator of the state department's diplomatic security service.
Officials were quoted as saying the 41-year old Warren, a convert to Islam, was ordered home by the US ambassador David Pearce in October after the women came forward with their rape allegations in September.
According to the affidavit, the two women "reported the allegations in this affidavit independently of each other."
The affidavit, according to ABC News, quotes the first victim as saying she was raped by Warren in September 2007 after being invited to a party at Warren's residence by US embassy employees.
She told a state department investigator that after Warren prepared a mixed drink of cola and whiskey and gave it to her, she felt a "violent onset of nausea" and Warren said she should spend the night at his home.
