The bearers of India’s first luxury swimwear brand, designers Shivan Bhatiya and Narresh Kukreja, have finally ventured into the e-retail segment after being in the fashion industry for several years.
“We tested the market through our flagship stores and our customised swimsuits services for four years and once the market was understood and was matured, we felt it was time to spread the brand’s vision for swimwear through the widespread online media on our e-boutique,” saysShivan.
Through the newly-launched portal, the brand seeks a pan-India presence in phase one and a worldwide distribution shortly after, with an increased outreach to the two and three-tier cities along with the established metros.
“The online shop would be the brand’s interface for a lot of unexplored territories to share the dream of swim, cruise and resort lifestyles with its connoisseurs from across the globe. Users would be able to order from anywhere in India and the world and expect deliveries of ready-to-wear swimsuits within five-seven working days for the prêt line and two weeks for the bespoke and limited edition line,” informs Narresh.
The ‘Gallery’ layout of the online store helps the shopper browse and scroll through the collection in an uncluttered space with a stark interface, much like the brand’s flagship white cuboid art gallery stores in Mumbai and Delhi.
The Luxury Holidays Blog is another feature that has been developed on the website, which will be an e-documentation of history of holidaying via sea, land or air and will be written and edited by Shivan and Narresh.
