Mumbaikars suffering in the sweltering heat were looking at the skyline with hope on Friday evening as clouds appeared on the horizon.
But that seems to be just false alarm with the weather forecast for the weekend predicting the same humid and hot conditions to prevail.

But Mumbaikars are a hopeful lot and will be praying to the weather gods for some unseasonal rain soon. After all, the showers will bring some much needed respite to people reeling under scorching heat since long.
Monsoon to hit Mumbai by June 12
Monsoon will hit the country 2-3 days before normal onset date of June 1, said private forecasting agency Skymet. While it will reach Kerala between May 28 and 30, it is likely to reach Mumbai by June 12.
