The Tata Housing Turf Championship (Gr 3) is slated as the feature event of today’s eight-race card framed at the Mahalaxmi racecourse.
Only three runners, all of them five-year-olds, will attempt the nine-furlong trip: Colombiana, who recently participated in the Invitation Cup at Bangalore; Be Fifty Two, who shocked Alaindair last month but flopped over the unsuitable trip of mile-and-a-half two weeks ago; and Commodore, who began his campaign this season by losing to Severus, but later made amends to win next start before going down fighting to Jack Frost.

Though fitness on the day will be the decisive factor, Commodore looks to have a thin edge on paper, and hence is nominated to win the feature race.
