The Social Service Branch officers busted a sex trade racket, which had been flourishing in Ratna Park Bar,u00a0 Sahar Road, Andheri (East) last night, rescuing eight girls in the process.
The girls had been giving cops a run for their money in the last few raids conducted at the bar, as they had in place an ingenious getaway plan, requiring considerable acrobatic skills.

"The bar owners had made a tunnel leading from a kitchen compartment. This led the girls away from the bar and into a chawl," said Vasant Dhobale, assistant commissioner of police.
"The girls managed to escape every time the raid was carried out. But this time we ransacked the premises for four hours in a row, and finally found the girls hiding behind the kitchen compartments, trying to flee," he added.

Along with the eight girls, cops arrested bar workers Rohit Shetty, Shrikant Patil, Raju Deshmukh, Uday Shetty and Mohan Kumar Ghouda alias Chottu.
