Crime Branch officials nabbed John Paulson Joseph from
Chembur for allegedly providing SIM cards to the shooters

He had provided SIM cards to Satish Kalia and Vinod Chembur, who used the cards to contact Rajan and plan the murder."

Crime Branch sources allege that Joseph, a close aide of Rajan looks after the underworld don's business interests in the city's eastern suburb.
Last year, Joseph shot to fame after he held a party at Chembur Gymkhana where Rajan and other policemen were also present.

Other than Joseph, authorities have also arrested nine others including sharpshooter Satish Kalia and bookie Vinod Chembur.

Anonymous letter
On Sunday evening, an unidentified letter was found on the doorstep of J Dey's Ghatkopar residence. Yesterday, social activist and friend of Dey Leslie Pereira lodged a complaint at the Powai police station. According to the complaint (copy available with MiD DAY) when Dey's sister opened the door to collect a garland, she found the letter that said that the Mumbai police was trying to make money out of the case and a politician, who is allegedly the right-hand man of don Chhota Rajan, financed the murder.
