The duo was picked up in the afternoon, and was let off late in the night.

Following their questioning, the total number of UoP officials that faced inquiry has reached nine. Though Ahire and Khilari weren’t arrested, it clear that the police are trying hard and are leaving no stone unturned to reach to the core of the scam. Both the officials have worked in the examination department for a long time. The police are also trying to find out out if any former employee too is involved in scam.

According to well-placed sources, a few senior UoP officials too may face police inquiry soon.u00a0
