Aishwarya Rajnikanth Dhanush, 30, the director of the film, is attending the festival with Shyam Benegal, Bedobrata Pain, Raju and the only Indian Judge of Emmy Awards, Prakash M Swamy.
The Tamil romantic drama will be screened at Manhattan on May 26. Benegal congratulated Aishwarya at the festival for the selection of her movie and recalled his association with superstar Rajnikanth.
He said that he was happy that the children of Rajnikanth have taken the film industry by storm, especially, the success of 'Kolaveri Di' song that was heard in half of the world.
Aishwarya is the elder daughter of southern superstar Rajnikanth and married to actor Dhanush, who shot to fame with his Tamil-English song that he composed and sang in the film.
