A senior police officer said the incident was reported around 8 am. "Nasir is pursuing post graduation from the hospital. He practices at the hospital and has been living on the fourth floor of the hostel for the last few years," he said.
The hospital staff found Nasir in unconscious condition, lying in a pool of blood. "A PCR call was made at 8.15 am. A police team immediately reached the spot. The doctor was admitted in the hospital but was later transferred to AIIMS trauma centre after his condition deteriorated. He has severe head injuries and has slipped into coma," said the police officer.
Police said no suicide note has been recovered. His colleagues' statements will be taken to ascertain the reason behind this extreme step.
