Don Bosco beat Raju XI to win KC Challenger Cup

Hosts Don Bosco (Matunga) came up with a stellar show to beat Raju XI by 170 runs in the final of the KC Challenger Cup U-14 cricket tournament recently.

Having lost the toss and put into bat, the Bosco boys posted a target of 230 which proved to be too much for Raju XI, who were bowled out for just 51 in 14 overs.

Yash Kripal was awarded the Man of the Match for his five-wicket haul and handy contribution with the bat (21 runs) while Sadaf Khan, who aggregated 122 runs in two innings, was adjudged Player of the Tournament.

Former Mumbai Ranji Trophy player Shridhar Mandale gave away the winner's trophy to the Bosco boys.
