Dabangg producer Arbaaz and Malaika Arora Khan were the recipients of the US House of Representatives Congressional Achievement Awards.
Dabangg is a big hit in New York and many Indians came to the felicitation ceremony to meet Munni (Malaika) and Makhanchand Pandey (Arbaaz).
Malaika says, "Yes, the reactions to Dabangg have been amazing. Arbaaz and I both got felicitated at a press conference in Manhattan. The award for Dabangg and was given by Congressman Gregory M Meeks."
Arbaaz is holidaying in the Big Apple with wife Malaika, son Arhaan, brother Sohail, sister-in-law Seema and nephew Nirvaan.
Before that, the Khans were in Koh Samui on a holiday. From the warm beaches of Thailand, they landed in icy November weather in America.
They hadn't packed for the weather. Arbaaz saw his biwi's plight he bought her a faux fur designer coat costing over Rs 2 lakh.
Malaika adds, "I am thrilled with the coat that Arbaaz bought me. It's a double birthday gift for me. Right now the coat is much better than diamonds.

After the Koh Samui holiday it's been from bikinis to fur. It's so cold in New York that I am wearing only warm clothes and bundled up from head to toe."
Says an insider, "Malaika and Seema are having a whale of a time shopping from Madison Avenue to Manhattan. Last night, they went to Broadway to see the musical Lion King."
