Edutainment is the new mantra
To showcase the growing relevance and potential of sectors like media, communication and design, a two-day event, titled Edutainment Show 2013, will be held in the city on May 4 and 5
To showcase the changing paradigms of India’s media and entertainment industry and to enhance the knowledge among students about this field, a two-day event, titled Edutainment Show 2013, will commence in Mumbai.
“The first edition will provide an understanding of the norms of media, communication and design industry. The Edutainment show will bring together veterans and field experts to create a one-stop platform of fun, education and creative experience.
The event will see top design schools and institutes across architectural, interior, sound, landscape, furniture design, fashion, textile, jewellery, graphic design, animation and new media design showcasing their offerings through a focused platform that reaches out to the students exclusively,” says Deepak Chaudhary, CEO of Event Capital, the organiser of the event.
The organisers are expecting nearly 3,000 student walk-ins daily for sessions as well as visits to the exhibition that will provide opportunities to aspirants on the future in media, communication and design. Aspiring students, educators and members of the media and communication industry who wish to meet the experts, can attend the event.
Some of the speakers include Hemant Kenkre (Lintas), Neeraj Roy (Hungama), Josy Paul (BBDO), Neeta Lulla (Fashion Designer), Pradeep Hirani (Kimaya), Roshan Abbas (Encompass), and Vikramaditya Motwane (Film Director-Dev D, Udaan, Dhan Dhana Dhan Goal). Over 45 schools and colleges have been invited for the event, the next edition of which will be held in 2014 in Mumbai and Delhi.
