A Mumbai-Dubai flight made an emergency landing in Muscat yesterday afternoon following a bomb threat. The flight, 9W 536, of Jet Airways, took off at 12.47 pm, and had 54 passengers and 7 crew on board. It landed at 14.50 (IST).


Yesterday, at around 1.31 pm, Balvir Singh Bhatia, General Manager MIAL/GVK, received a message that two Jet Airways staffers had seen a tweet, by one Surinder Pratap of Ludhiana.


It said, ‘BOMB SPOTTED IN JET AIRWAYS 9W 536 FROM MUMBAI TO DUBAI DEP. AT 1225 FROM CSIA. OPERATION Badala’. At 1.55 pm ATC CSIA, Mumbai informed the ATC Muscat and flight 9W 536 got diverted.
