Ethnic considerations
My biggest headache is that most of the scripts I get take my ethnicity in consideration. I don’t mind doing them; at some point you have to reconcile that you look a particular way and make the most of what’s being offered. But even within that, our industry is big enough to offer those dynamics.u00a0
Interesting avenues
I would love to play a bad guy. I’m very fond of the kind of stuff Anurag Kashyap, Dibakar Bannerjee and Abhishek Kapoor do. Also, slightly more glossy with a message kind of cinema that a Rajkumar Hirani or a Zoya Akhtar does, also appeal to me. I would love to expand what I’m doing. I’m very realistic, so probably getting the lead role is out of the question. I’m open to doing interesting second leads or negative characters.u00a0
