A fire broke out at a residential settlement in Khetwadi, Girgaum at 8.49 pm yesterday.
Eight fire engines and four water tankers were rushed to the spot to douse the fire.
Till the time of going to print, no casualties had been reported. Two residential buildings, which were adjoining the affected areas, were known to have been affected slightly.

PS Randhale, Deputy Chief Fire Officer, confirmed the news of the fire.
He said, “Ten water tankers had been sent to extinguish the fire. The flames did reach the top floors of the adjoining buildings in the area but there was no substantial damage. No one was injured in the fire.”
