The melodrama and kitchen counter politics of shows seem mild compared to the scandals off the camera in the TV world. Catastrophic blunders, contentious issues and shocking truths rocked telly town this year. hitlist highlights a few that made us gasp and sometimes roar with laughter:

When Anas took on-screen romance too seriously...

Supposedly, Jay and Mahhi had an argument over his growing closeness with co-contestant Parvathy Omanakuttan (Read More). Add to that rumours of the actor ordering for sensuous massages in his room. When Rashami finally walked out on Nandish...

After a lot of back-and-forth in their relationship, Rashami Desai and Nandish Sandhu have finally opted for a mutual divorce. While they claimed dance reality show 'Nach Baliye' brought them together, even a five-year-old could sense the distance between them. The actors confirmed that divorce proceedings are on. Sources say Nandish is dating a model now, but the actor has denied it.

When Daljeet and Shaleen's love story turned violent...

When Parth was not sure if he should be in or out of a show...

Parth Samthaan is a confused soul. When 'Kaisi Yeh Yaariyan' became popular, he threw tantrums over sharing his vanity van, his remuneration and what not. When his demands were not met, he threatened to quit and sent feelers to the media. Then he took to social media to announce plans to quit, but ultimately decided to stick around. And oh, he really did walk out of the show when better offers came his way only to go back to it later.

Parth, who ironically had earlier claimed he was a virgin on a chat show, later allegedly created a Whatsapp group to — hold your breath — discuss his and his friends' sexual conquests and then compare their scores.
