A sweeper found a 5 to 6-month-old foetus in a toilet in Rajawadi Hospital while he was cleaning on Thursday night. He alerted the authorities who subsequently informed the police.

Police officials from Tilak Nagar police station were called to probe the matter. Primary investigation suggests that it could be a case of miscarriage.

A police official from the Tilak Nagar Police Station under conditions of anonymity said, “We got a call stating that a sweeper had found a foetus in the toilet of Rajawadi Hospital’s ward 40. So far no one has come forward to claim the foetus. However it looks as if it was a case of miscarriage since it was found with the umbilical cord attached. We are currently investigating the incident.”
