High-tyre degradation marred Force India's chances of a top-10 finish in the Formula One Canadian Grand Prix here on Sunday, with Paul di Resta and Nico Hulkenberg finishing 11th and 12th
Di Resta started eighth on the grid and was running fifth initially in the 88-lap race. But high degradation on the supersofts forced him to pit early, pushing him behind in the pack.

Hukenberg also faced tyre issues and could only gain a place from his 13th place on the grid. “I think we all feel a bit disappointed to miss out on points today. To qualify eighth and run as high as fifth shows we were well placed and things were running smoothly for the first few laps,” said di Resta.
“Then I seemed to suffer with high-tyre degradation on the super-softs so we pitted quite early, and on the soft tyres we just didn’t have the performance to race the cars around us.”
