According to fire brigade officials, the incident took place at around 11 am in Panshali Village in Shahbad Dairy area of Outer Delhi. According to them, the cylinder burst when Jayanti was cooking. The roof collapsed and Jayanti was trapped underneath. At first, people thought a bomb had exploded.

"The impact of explosion was so much that roofs of three more houses in the neighborhood also collapsed. Three children who were playing outside the house also received injuries as the debris of the house fell on them. The neighbours gathered at the spot and called the fire brigade, police and ambulance," said a fire brigade official.
