You know that Genesis song with the lyrics that go, 'Do as I Say, Don't Do As I Do'? It's the only reason, I assume, I can dispense the advice I am about to: Cycle.
That's right, there are a few skills I like to think of them as survival skills that we must know and cycling is one of them, followed closely by swimming, driving, whistling and typing (there's something about hands flying maniacally over a keyboard that makes me feel like I'm doing something of vague import).
Never mind that I don't know how to do at least two things on that list, but this is about you, not me, remember! Yes, we probably don't have luxurious spaces in which we can enjoy the thrill of cycling, but if you do have a compound or a deserted lane, then you have no excuses.
It's one of the few pleasures in life. And if, like me, you don't yet know how to cycle (I know, I know, rather pitiable), then find a friend who can and ride pillion. If you're looking to buy a cycle, then consider stopping by one of the oldest cycle stores in the city that turns 86 today! Happy cycling!
