High-profile accused and convicts like Abdul Karim Telgi tried their best to evade a narco test but failed.

Now, there is hardly any chance for Ghandy to go through any kind of scientific test. The court on November 5 restrained the police from conducting narco-analysis on the top Maoist leader till further orders and gave Delhi Police four weeks' time to file the investigation report. The order came after his counsel Rebecca M John submitted that until and unless Constitutional validity of narco test is decided by the Supreme Court, an accused cannot be forced to undergo such a test.
Earlier on October 31, the trial court had allowed the test on Ghandy.u00a0 Delhi police had sought legal permission to conduct the narco-analysis test on the famous naxal leader who evaded arrest for long time to unearth details on his operations in urban areas of the country.
Ghandy, who was arrested by Delhi police on September 20, has been booked under several provisions of Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act.
