A well-filled and competitive card is slated for Thursday evening at the Mahalaxmi racetrack. There will be nine races, and the feature event will be the sole cup race: The Singapore Turf Club Trophy.
There are nine three-year-olds in the fray, but eight of them will be making their racing debut. The only one with experience is the Narendra Lagad-trained God's Own. She has run one race each at Pune and Mumbai and displayed decent early speed which can come in handy for the shortest scurry of 1,000 meters.
Though some of the debut-makers have been putting in attractive work in track trials, I feel God's Own may enjoy a thin edge over her rivals thanks to the experience of having already raced.
First race at 4.10 pm.
