The McLaren driver was at fault with the stewards handing Massa a drive through penalty for causing the collision.
Hamilton had been trying to get past the Brazilian on the inside going into the fifth turn when the Ferrari driver cut across. "Felipe didn't give me any space," screamed Hamilton.
The Brazilian then retired with a broken front left suspension.
