Houseful world premiere of Side A & Side B at Cannes Film Festival 2017

After critically acclaimed MANTOSTAAN Rahat Kazmi's directorial SIDE A & SIDE B opened with house full world premiere at (Marche du film) Festival of Cannes this year

After critically acclaimed MANTOSTAAN Rahat Kazmi's directorial SIDE A & SIDE B opened with house full world premiere at (Marche du film) Festival of Cannes this year.

Entire team of SIDE A & SIDE B celebrated the success of world premiere and producers and writer/director were seen cheering for this kind of opening at world's biggest platform.

Side A & Side B is a humorous and satirical take on a serious issue of Kashmir conflict, The film tries to tell the simple story of human emotions and a common man's love for cinema even during extreme situations.

While speaking to media Rahat Kazmi says, "SIDE A & SIDE B is a humorous and satirical take on a serious issue of Kashmir conflict… The film tries to articulate the simple story of human emotions and a common man's love for cinema even during extreme situations… In 1993 Poonch; a small town at (Kashmir) India-Pakistan border, where watching TV and films got banned by extremists and three years passed since nobody had watched TV or listened music... Bullets hit the walls of houses every night during cross firings between army and extremists... one boy collects bullet shells and sells them to earn money... He collects money to go to Jammu (city) to watch a film in cinema."

Film is about youngsters and their passion towards cinema under the shadow of Guns… Shoib Nikash Shah after winning awards for Mantostaan and Rabbi in festival circuit is again teamed up in the film as lead protagonist where he gets a chance to share screen with veteran Raghubir Yadav and talented Rahul Singh who plays a very interesting character in the film… Pari Chaudhary, Shanaya Khanna, Shubham, Rahul Manhas and Shahid Shah have the key roles in the film.

According to producers the film shall be travelling to world festivals this year before its release in India; it is an Indo-Canadian co-production, which will be an interesting subject for world cinema audiences globally.

Rahat Kazmi films, Tariq Khan productions, Zeba Sajid films and Jitesh Kumar films have produced the film and co-produced by UFI productions and Mediamark International Corp. (Canada) In association with Vikas sanmotra & Vritika Rampal Productions.
