I know what this title means to Paes: Stepanek

While on one hand, Czech Radek Stepanek was happy to clinch his first Grand Slam men's doubles title, on the other, he was equally happy that his partner Leander Paes finally got his hands on the only prize missing from his trophy cabinet -- the Australian Open men's doubles.

"I know what this means to him (Paes)... this was missing from his career Grand Slam, and I'm happy to be by his side," Stepanek said moments after he and Paes turned the tables on America's World No 1 pairing of Bob and Mike Bryan 7-6 (1), 6-2. Coming into the Australian Open, the Indian doubles specialist had won 47 career doubles titles with 11 different partners, including one with Stepanek.
