'I've developed feelings for a straight guy'
Dear Diana, I am a 40-year-old gay man going through some health problems. My on and off jobs hardly provide me a decent income.
A friend of mine in his 30s, who is straight and single, has been a crutch for me financially as well as emotionally. We are very comfortable with each other. I always take him for granted but he has been very sincere towards me and consistent. I’ve now started developing feelings for him but he doesn’t know about it. What’s worse he has just shown interest in a girl and he hopes to take the relationship to the next level.
This guy has been a big source of help for you emotionally and financially. He trusts you and now that he has found love, you cannot cause an upheaval in his personal life. I am sure that he is unaware of your feelings. All these years, he has extended you a helping hand as a buddy. There was nothing more to the relationship nor did you consider him as a partner. Now that he has found love, let him be happy in his space and you in yours.
Diana will solve it!
