The man was injured while reportedly attempting to steal iron rods from the Sion monorail site when he along with the metal scaffolding collapsed on Monday evening.

Soon after the incident the injured was rushed to Sion hospital.

According to MMRDA Joint Project Director Dilip Kawatkar, "A thief in his late 30s climbed on the tower erected for piercap at 1-k25 in Wadala and was stealing the pin of the tower. While doing this he fell to the ground and was taken to hospital. We would request the police officials to take appropriate action against the person."

Unfortunately, the criminal appears to be too slippery for the cops.u00a0
