International Kissing Day or World Kissing Day started as National Kissing Day in the UK and went on to become a world event. Observed on the 6th of July each year, the object of the day is to remind people that the act of kissing is an enjoyable experience as an expression of intimacy as opposed to a mere formality or prelude to other activities.
