It's a neon future for Steve Aoki

You are back to making your Indian fans dance. What’s new in store?
I want to create my sound like a carnival with all new features and remixes. I am going to be playing all of Aoki’s music, along with a lot of new and some old music. My set will include tracks by Borgore, WakaFlocka Flame, Pharrell, Snoop Dog, Linkin Park and more.

Any new artistes you are working with on your record label, Dim Mak?
I started off with Dim Mak in 1996. It began in my college apartment. It has been a personal experience to grow with the label and reach where I am today. I am working with Dior. He’s become a good friend; we tour a lot. I love the music that is produced by Borgore, Blasterjaxx as well as varied music from Booka Shade or Azari & III.

Who are you collaborating with on your new album, Neon Future?
I am working with the likes of Snoop Dogg, Linkin Park, Waka Flocka Flame, Machine Gun Kelly and Will.i.am.

The last time you were here, you said that you wanted to do a lot of touristy things, like visiting the Taj Mahal.u00a0Did you manage it?
I need a guide, to show me around. I always eat the same curry and rice, every time I am here, but I am
hoping I can try some new things as long as I don’t get sick. I don’t want to have diarrhoea for the rest of the tour!

What did you love about India on your earlier visit?
To me India is one of the most special places in the world and it is the one place I really wanted to visit. I love its culture, food and after my first trip,
I loved the people. I like the streets here, I like it all. The sad thing that you see is poverty too. It is very difficult to see that but you have to see it, it’s reality.
