Myra, who left a lasting impression in the role of Jessica Lal in Rajkumar Gupta’s No One Killed Jessica was missing from the screen and the film industry soon after the film’s release. No more. Myra is all set to return to films with Rajkumar Gupta’s Rapchik Romance, which the director will start as soon as he completes his Vidya Balan-Emraan Hashmi starrer, Ghanchakkar, by the end of this year.
While the actors and the director are tight-lipped about the project, according to sources, Ramchik Romance is a young, urban, quirky romance with many songs on the soundtrack. Myra, we hear, will sing her own songs. At the moment, she is understandably guarded about her second feature film. All Myra is willing to divulge is, “Yes, I’m doing Rapchik Romance with Rajkumar Gupta. He will start the film immediately after he completes Ghanchakkar.”
About not signing any film for more than a year after Jessica Myra explains, “I am too choosy to take up any project until I’m fully satisfied. I believe, for any film, it takes quite some time to travel from inception to release. For something spectacular to happen, the time taken is even longer.” Regarding Ghanchakkar Myra says, “I can’t wait to see how my favourite Vidya handles comedy.”
Myra says she is clueless about her role in Rapchik Romance and will only know her part when she “steals” the script from the director. But we can tell Myra this. Rapchik Romance is designed as her true launch as a leading lady in Bollywood. Says a source close to the project, “In No One Killed Jessica Myra’s character is dead at the beginning of the film. In Rapchik Romance she will kill the audience with her flair for romance.”
