His relationship first, then his reputation, and now his leg. We give you... John Abraham

John Abraham fractured his foot on Saturday while shooting for a cricket match for David Dhawan's Hook Ya Crook.

Says a close friend of John, "The ball shot straight onto John's right foot and he heard a distinct crack. He knew something had gone wrong. But he continued shooting because he didn't want to disrupt the schedule, which required special permission for outdoor shooting."

It was only after the day's shooting that John by thenu00a0 in pain sat down to examine the damage.
Adds the friend, "It wasn't just a pulled muscle or a torn ligament as John had hoped. It was a fracture. And by playing cricket with the injured foot, he only made it worse.

He was foolish to keep on playing when his foot was hurt instead of getting it checked," says the friend. After pack-up, John limped to his car, drove off to the doctor who finally told him what he suspected the whole day. Now his foot is in a cast for a month.

Fortunately for the actor, he has no shooting pending. Says John, "I really wouldn't like to talk about it. But yes, I'm in pain. Fortunately no film is going to get affected."

Bipasha Basu, who is currently in Goa shooting for All The Best, got to know about John's injury on Sunday morning. John had sent her an SMS about his condition on Saturday night. But she had already gone to sleep, by then. She's expected to return to Mumbai soon.
